Decision 1108/2018 taken from CEN/TC 175 resolves to publish the “
EN 17009Flooring of lignified materials other than wood - Characteristics, assessment and verification of constancy of performance and marking” without annex ZA.
This means that shortly at European level a voluntary technical standard will be published. This document will regulate flooring produced with lignified materials other than wood (e.g.: bamboo).
Floorings covered by this standard can not be CE marked, because in the absence of Annex ZA the standard will not be harmonized and can not be published in the Official Journal of the European Union according to Regulation (EU) N. 305/2011 also known as CPR or Construction Product Regulation.
