On February 15th the
national standard:
“UNI 11935:2024 Wood floorings and parquet for indoor use - Design, laying and use conditions instructions” was published.
The document defines
design criteria and laying systems of wood floorings and parquet for indoor use.
It applies to flooring to be laid by gluing, floating and by screwing/nailing, on any type of support, used in new and/or existing buildings.
This document is the result of the work of the WG 05 "Non-structural wood" of the UNI Wood Commission, which involved various professional figures such as flooring manufacturers, glue producers, layers' associations, sector experts, test laboratories, etc.
There has been active collaboration to produce this technical document, which represents the state of the art for this sector and will soon become a reference guideline.
